My 60th birthday happened and I decided to keep it low key, because of getting use to my prosthetic. I and my sister went to the restaurant The View in Times Square. I am using a walker just because its an unfamiliar ground. I was a little scared because of this, I know most people walk faster than the restaurant revolves. No problem getting on the floor. The food was delicious, I has Filet Mignon and it was delicious. We were with our a mutual friend. He was with us in Berlin and we went to a revolving restaurant there. It was a good time for all.
We went to Alamo Drafthouse Movie Tohoscope Film Festival as saw Godzilla vs. Megalon, not one of the better Big G films, with my sister. My sister came just to make sure I could do it, before I took a wheel chair. My sister reaction was "Did the actors were told make it up as they go along?" Which was my feeling about the script. Basic plot the Kingdom of Seatopia is being ruined nuclear testing and instead their agents to go and complain. They steal a robot called Jet Jaguar and kidnapped his inventor and annoying little brother. Then send their god-monster Megalon to destroy the world. The inventor gets control of Jet Jaguar and gets Godzilla. The Seatopias get Gigan and Battle Royal begins. Watching it I remember MST3K Episode of this movie. They refer to one of the characters as Rex Dart: Eskimo Spy.
I have my tickets for Godzilla: Minus Zero and looking for it.
Unfortunately Patrick Stewart has died. This year has been rough, Dolly Parton, Tim Currry, Peter Cullen, and Walter Koenig could it get any worse.
Hopefully next year I will be taking a river in October 2027 and be celebrating my birthday in Paris, France.
