Sally Bollywood is a French-Australian animated series, which has been translated and sold to numerous countries around the world. Fifty-two episodes of thirteen minutes duration have been produced for the first series. Along with another 52 13 minute episodes for the Second series. However, in Australia Seven Network and Toggo air two episodes together, as twenty-six minute episodes.

The series follows the adventures of Sally who, along with her friend Doowee, operates a private detective agency. Together they investigate cases brought to them by their school friends in a multicultural suburb of a big, western city, "Cosmopolis".

The series revolves around a young Indian girl, who lives in a town called "Cosmopolis". Her father, Harry, is a private detective, which inspired Sally to start her own private eye service, S.B.I. (Sally Bollywood Investigations), located in the basement of their family home. She, along with the help of best friend Doowee McAdam, solve cases presented to them usually by children attending their school. Most cases see Sally and Doowee traveling around their local neighbourhood and using technology to help with their numerous investigations.

Sally is assertive, confident and a private detective like her father. To Sally, her father is the coolest guy on Earth, which is why she set up her own detective agency called S.B.I (Sally Bollywood Investigations) with her best friend Doowee. When Sally investigates, she's dynamic, resourceful and intelligent. She sometimes finds herself in a difficult situations, but that never stops her from trying and she ultimately lands on her feet.

At times Sally can be impatient or rush to judgement with others, but she doesn't hesitate to apologize after she realizes she made a mistake. She can be stubborn and is always determined to get results. Someone criticizing or insulting her only encourages her to work harder.

Sally's second passion is singing. And don't say that it's incompatible with a detective's profession: 'Pop Star' is the perfect disguise for working under cover!
